The M2 Skin Refinish 20% cream uses an extremely potent combination of Mandelic and Malic Acids (both Alpha Hydroxys). Previously this product was sold under the name “MaMa Lotion” however the company has since switched to M2 Skin for branding purposes.

I’ll briefly give my opinions of both the company and this product…

Company Review
Although M2 Skin is a new name, MaMa lotion has been around for quite some time. In fact, they seemed to be some of the most widely used mandelic and malic acid products on the market. For this reason, in a way I feel the name change was bad for the company since this product had been established as such a brand name. However at the same time, I realize that MaMa Lotion conjures up assumptions that it’s something a mother made, when in reality the “MaMa” names comes from MAndelic acid and MAlic acid. So in that sense, I understand why they decided to change to M2 Skin. The company is based out of Utah.

Product Review

Size: M2 Skin Refinish 20% comes in a 1.7 ounce bottle. This is a typical, standard size for products. It may come in larger sizes too which give you more bang for your buck, but I’m only aware of the 1.7 ounce bottle.

Cost: Of course the price varies by retailer, but it’s in the mid-level range. However I notice prices online for M2 skin care are much cheaper than what cosmetic stores charge.

Ingredients: The ingredients are simple, in a good way. The top four are water, mandelic acid, malic acid, algae extract. There are others too like hyaluronic and aloe, but the main ones are mandelic acid, malic acid, and algae extract.

The two acids are excellent exfoliations that help to rejuvenate the skin, even tone, and improve texture. Mandelic acid is also a natural antibacterial; therefore it can be a good choice for acne sufferers. The algae extract assists with nourishing and moisturizing the skin.

Verdict
M2 Skin Refinish (MaMa lotion) has been around for a while and have a cult following of loyal customers. They have to be doing something right to have so many people choosing them over the other guys. If you want an excellent alpha hydroxy cream with a strength that will help you really get results, then consider M2 Skin / MaMa lotion.
